RIMA

RIMA (Rack Information Management Analyzer) is an appliance (Hardware plus Software) product by HPCMATE. RIMA provides real-time data visualization for multiple RIM (DS7) devices and analyze features.

System tab provides real time system resources information in every 3 seconds as well as provided license information including maximum possible RIM(DS7) devices depending on the license type. license section describes RIMA license type and allowable maximum devices.

Admin Password

RIMA supports only one administrator account for simple and operation ownership and responsibility.

Factory default Admin's ID and password are "Admin" and "Admin". we recommend to change more secure password in production operation.


Setting for send mail,

RIMA support gmail app password to send notification from RIMA to registered email list. To do that Admin needs to make Gmail's App Password. Following is an overview how to create App password and register

  1. Log in to your Google account or use this link https://security.google.com/settings/security/apppasswords
  2. Go to My Account > Sign-in & Security > App Passwords
  3. Put App name whatever you want then create app password
  4. Copy the password then put it as sendmail password along with your gmail account
  5. Test send mail and verify mail receiving from the RIMA

License Type

As an appliance type of product, RIMA product has its own license type. following are the license type and maximum allowable device supports

License Type Max. supported RIM (DS7) devices Notes data retension policy
L1 support up to 12 RIM devices 1TB x 4ea for data storage, usable 3TB over RAID5 1 year
L2 support up to 24 RIM devices 2TB x 4ea for data storage, usable 5TB over RAID5 1 year
L3 support up to 48 RIM devices 4TB x 4ea for data storage, usable 8TB over RAID6 1 year
L4 support up to 100 RIM devices 8TB x 4ea for data storage, usable 16TB over RAID6 1 year
